Traditional Asian technique of cooking rice.
1 cup rice for 2 cups water
1 teaspoon oil
2 teaspoon salt
In a saucepan, bring to boiling salted water with oil. Add rice. Continue to cook for 5 minutes in boil. Cover and reduce to low heat. Simmer until rice is tender (about 15 minutes). Turn off the heat, uncover the pot and let stand 10 minutes.
